Before We Arrive
Make sure someone is home
Please ensure an adult is available during your collection slot so our team can access the items safely
Clear a safe path to the items
Remove obstacles, tripping hazards, or anything that might block access. This helps our team move items safely and efficiently.
Disconnect appliances
If you’re donating washing machines or cookers, please make sure they are fully disconnected and ready to move.
For fridges and freezers, please make sure they have been switched on for at least 24 hours before collection so we can carry out a temperature check.
For TVs and other electrical items, please have them close to a working socket so we can check they operate correctly.
Empty and clean items
Cupboards, drawers, fridges, and freezers must be empty. Please give everything a quick clean so it’s ready for reuse.
Check access and parking
If parking is limited or there are access issues (stairs, narrow hallways, restricted entry), let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Keep pets safely out of the way
This helps our team work safely and prevents any accidental escapes.
