1950’s Single Wooden School Desk With Lift Up Lid/ Coffee Table

This is a lovely condition, modified 1950’s lift up lid school desk, the wood appears to have been lightly bleached, so a nice soft neutral tone for a room. The legs have been shortened so the piece now perfectly suits being a coffee table with hidden storage.
The piece still has its original Bakelite ink pot completing that retro aesthetic.
Dimensions: H 38cm – W57cm – D46.5. Lid D38cm. The inner dimensions are H13cm – W49cm – D37cm.
Condition: For its age, there are signs of age, wear in the wood, i.e. scratches, scuffs and water marks, these could be sanded out but they do add to the character of the piece.
