Vintage Lloyd Loom Lusty Armchair
£89.00
Early Lloyd Loom armchair with a flared shape, believed to be from the 1930s.
These chairs were developed in the early 20th Century, made by tightly weaving paper around steel wires and attaching the material to a bentwood frame.
The chair has had 3 layers of paint applied over its lifetime, giving it an interesting patina and adding to its character.
It has a fully sprung drop-in seat complete with its original woven green and gold damask upholstery, and the woven back and sides extend down quite close to the floor.
Colour: taupe. Previously painted black, white and originally green.
Cushion colour: Green and gold
In fair condition for its age, solid with a comfortable seat and supportive backrest, just worn through paint layers, particularly on the arms. Photos have been taken of these areas, but if you would like us to share more images, please do message us.
